THQ have announced today that they have cancelled the MX vs. ATV series. The last in the series was MX vs. ATV Alive (ironic right?) released earlier this to decent review but it never got rolling.
Also, THQ has shut down three internal development teams and let go some 200 staff members.THQ boss Brian Farrell said:
“With this realignment, we are narrowing our focus to high-quality owned IP with broad appeal that can be leveraged across multiple platforms, and to work with the best talent in the industry,” .
“By right-sizing our internal development capacities for our console portfolio, our five internal studios are focused on delivering high-quality games with talented teams driving the execution of those titles to market.
THQ now currently have five internal studios: Volition currently working on Saints Row 3, Relic Studios working on Warhammer 40K Space Marine, Vigil Studios is working on Darksiders 2, THQ San Diego working on WWE 12, and THQ Montreal, led by former Assassin’s Creed main man Patrice Désilets.
