First Unreal Engine 4 games to release by end of 2013

In an interview with Joystiq, Epic Games Vice President Mark Rein talked about their newly unveiled Unreal Engine 4. When asked about when we can start to see games utilising Unreal Engine 4 tech he said:

“For sure something next year, I just don’t know exactly when,” Rein told Joystiq. ”Until we’re really clear on when the game is going to be finished, when the partner wants to put in the sand and market it, we don’t really have those kind of dates.”

This may mean that we may finally see the successors to the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 by the end of next year. That or Epic Games may be finally going back to that platform that made them: PC.

I guess we’ll find out in the coming months. For now, enjoy the tech demo “elemental” that was released to the public last week.
