Uncharted writer joins Visceral Games for new Star Wars title

Amy Hennig is best known for writing the Uncharted series but it was revealed a couple of weeks ago that she has left the Uncharted developer Naughty Dog. Today, its been announced that Amy Henning has joined Visceral Games to work on an upcoming Star Wars game.

“There are a lot of different directions we could have gone, but I could sense that what really excited her about this opportunity was Star Wars,” wrote Visceral Games vice president and general manager Steve Papoutsis (who used to work with Hennig at Crystal Dynamics), on theĀ EA Blog.

“I’ve always admired her approach to creative development – focusing on nailing down the soul of a game first, and then making sure the writing, the gameplay, the design and the art comes together to form a unified, interactive experience for the player,” Papoutis explained. “This fits in perfectly with what we’re trying to do here at Visceral and Amy’s going to help us continue in our pursuit to make the most thrilling, immersive games in the world.”

Visceral Games is known for creating the Dead Space series and is now moving on to make a Star Wars title.
