After weeks of speculation, Sony have finally announced that they are developing a virtual reality headset for the PlayStation 4. At the event at DGC, Shuhei Yoshida, President of SCE Worldwide Studios said:
“At SCE we view innovation as an opportunity to build on our mission to push the boundaries of play.” Project Morpheus is the latest example of innovation from SCE, and we’re looking forward to its continued development and the games that will be created as development kits get into the hands of content creators.”
With those that are interested in the current VR headset, Oculus Rift, all eyes will be on the specs and currently Project Morpheus is looking good.

There are not hints at prices or dates but with will work with the PlayStation Move, the PlayStation 4 controller, and the PlayStation 4 camera. Regarding the price, all that was said is that it will be “affordable”.
